The year 2013... As my professional life in the dynamics of the financial world approached its 30th year, our company was caught in a massive SAP wind. When our developer friends requested information about which bank the thousands of IBANs in our financial operations belonged to, we encountered a vast void on the internet. There were sites doing IBAN validation, but not a single platform that gave the bank name.
When I shared this situation with my dear friend and our company's super programmer Atilla, he couldn't believe it at first either; he said "There must be a site that shows the bank, bro." But when he did some research, he saw the truth: It really didn't exist. That day we joined hands, wrote our code, and launched e-IBAN.com in April 2013 — Turkey's first platform to show bank information from an IBAN.
Necessity is the greatest inventor. We turned that necessity into a digital transformation.

After we paved the way, others followed us. But we didn't stop. By 2015, we added branch information to our system based on the messages and requests from you, our valued users. Every thank-you message we received was the greatest proof of how right a thing we were doing.
